This camera is situated atop a public viewing deck above the canopy in Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. It provides a landscape view of expansive salt marsh and estuary habitats that whooping cranes use on their wintering grounds. The frame also shows the Intracoastal Waterway, a maintained channel for boats and barges that transport petrochemicals and other products from port to port along the Texas Gulf Coast.
