This camera is located on private property in Allen Parish, Louisiana, which farms rice and crawfish, alternating the crop in the fields yearly. This farm was home to a breeding pair, L3-11 & L1-13, who nested in crawfish fields here, multiple times yearly from 2018-2021. Although their eggs never successfully hatched, they did succeed in hatching three chicks and fledging two of them from close to hatching eggs that were swapped into their nest. The pair remains together but now nests in different fields several miles south.
