About Quivira Marsh
This camera is on the shoreline of one of the largest saline lakes in a managed complex of wetlands at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. It provides a crane’s–eye view of this rare wetland system and its highly dynamic, seasonal fluctuations. The saline lakes on this 22,135-acre refuge serve as critical stopover areas for whooping cranes and myriad other migrating species along the Central Flyway in an otherwise cropland-dominated landscape.
