White River Marsh
White River Marsh
This camera captured the daily rhythms of a whooping crane nest at the 12,000 acres White River Marsh State Wildlife Area in Marquette County, Wisconsin. The camera was put in place in the spring of 2021 and the pair successfully hatched and raised one chick. This wildlife area serves both as a nesting ground and key release site for captive-reared whooping cranes back into the wild.
*The nest cameras were installed with the permission and under the guidance of whooping crane scientists and associated entities.
